privacy
Podictionary itself has no way of gathering information on you unless you send an email or post a comment to the blog pages that includes personal information.
Any email addresses or other information that you choose to submit will be treated with the greatest respect.
No personal information will be loaned, sold or given away under any circumstances.
Podictionary may reply to blog comments on the blog, or reply to email directly, however, in these cases communication will be strictly in the context of your original submission.
I will never spam you.
If you subscribe to podictionary by email your address will be treated with the same care as if you send an email. The email subscription service is administered by Feedburner, a Google company.
Speaking of Google, since Podictionary has begun to carry ads Google helpfully suggests some of the following language in our privacy policy [stuff in square brackets mine]:
Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. [this likely applies to other ad network vendors]
Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to podictionary users based on their visit here and to other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
They also offer some verbage borrowed from the Network Advertising Initiative
These companies [Google and other ad serving companies] may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services [that they hope will be] of interest to you [and based on their profitabilty, probably will be.]
